Global Entrepreneurship Research & Innovation Centre (GERIC) is an Entrepreneurship Center of Excellence at the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). Our amazing teams of Masters, PhD and Post-Doc students; Fellows and Resident Faculties work round the clock to address the world’s most critical ‘Jobs to be Done’.
The world is ‘permanent whitewater’ in constant state of change and to survive in such a place, a continuous flow of innovative ideas and a clear understanding of core principles for success are needed. As an Enterprise Innovation Lab, we deliver smart advisory along with suits of products that help businesses to navigate critical challenges. We work with our clients – public and private organizations – to implement innovative new directions that position them to consistently achieve exceptional performance.
As an entrepreneurship and innovation policy think tank, we work with government agencies and development institutions to design smart, executable and result-oriented policies. In all our policy advocacy engagements, sustainable impact on the community is our driving force.
Through our signature Ignite Venture Lab, a campus-based startup incubation and acceleration hub, we search, coach, mentor and provide critical supports that enable our students and members of the community to start, manage and scale high-impact businesses.
Informed by our full awareness that those who produce knowledge are not usually those who need the knowledge, we device several channels to disseminate our insights: social media posts, blogposts, newsletter, special industry publications and academic journals. We also organize Innovation Summits and Case Study Conferences for sharing our learning and helping the world get smarter.
